This series will get to know some of the female idols who are girl crush material. A ‘girl crush’ is defined as a woman or girl who is the object of one’s admiration. In other words, one of the female K-Pop idols that fans wish was their best friend or girlfriend. This can be based on their style, personality, overall vibe, etc. BLACKPINK’s Lisa opened the series for us followed by MAMAMOO’s HwaSa, TWICE’s JiHyo, ITZY’s RyuJin, Red Velvet’s SeulGi, Jeon SoMi, STAYC’s SuMin, LOONA’s Yves, ChungHa, former Lovelyz member MiJoo, (G)I-DLE’s SoYeon, HyunA, and Jessi. Readers voted for EVERGLOW’s Mia in our weekly poll (at the end of the article) to be featured this week. Let’s get to know our girl crush, Mia! Mia is famous as a member of EVERGLOW. She is known for the incredible aura that she exudes especially when she sings and dances. Her stages are charisma personified. Mia is affectionately nicknamed as one of the aces of EVERGLOW. Not only are her vocals next level, but her dance ability is unmatched too. She is EVERGLOW’s main vocalist, main dancer, and can even rap. She is an all-around performer. This cover of Sasha Sloan’s ‘Dancing With Your Ghost’ shows off Mia’s sweet vocals and the video shows how she can convey emotions through a song. The video is haunting but comforting to watch and proves her duality as an artist. Her musicality makes it easy to encompass the nuance of any song or concept.
On the other hand, she can hold her own and shine brightly when she dances too. Her vocals are also extremely stable and her attitude emphasizes her stage presence. She is also known for having expressive facial expressions when she performs.
Mia’s attitude is fierce and her gaze keeps you locked into her. That sass seeps through her photos and makes her seem like the cool friend we all want to have. She is yet another K-Pop queen of duality. In fact, fellow member SiHyeon once commented that when they were trainees, she thought Mia was cold and stand-offish but after getting to know her she realized that Mia is quite cute and considerate. Mia also has a goofy side to her.
