Reasons to watch: Two of the biggest superstars of the Korean film and television industry, Kim HyeSoo and Kim MuYeol, pairing up for a drama is reason enough for it to be highly anticipated. The premise of the juvenile court is also refreshing and a rather new field to explore.  

2. “Again My Life”

Cast: Lee JoonGi, Kim JiEun, Lee KyungYoung Summary: A prosecutor gets a second chance at life to take down an evil politician. Reasons to watch: Lee JoonGi’s much-awaited return to the small screen with a revenge drama is everything fans could have asked for and more. As the story is adapted from a webtoon of the same name, it will be interesting to see how the characters will be brought to life.  

3. “All Of Us Are Dead”

Cast: Yoon ChanYoung, Park JiHoo, Cho YiHyun, LoMon, Yoo InSoo Summary: It tells the story of those isolated in a high school where a zombie virus has been spread and those who are trying to save them. Reasons to watch: The first Korean zombie thriller to hit 2022, “All Of Us Are Dead” is a hugely successful webtoon, which naturally has raised expectations for the live-action adaptation. As it is a Netflix original, the scale will undoubtedly be grand, which is definitely a reason to watch this drama.  

4. “Tomorrow”

Cast: SF9’s RoWoon, Kim HeeSun, Yoon JiOn, and Lee SooHyuk.  Summary: A drama about jobseeker, Choi JunWoong, who fell into a coma and ended up as a member of the Special Crisis Management Team of the Underworld. Reasons to watch: With a unique storyline, elements of fantasy, slice of life, mystery, and thriller, “Tomorrow” is the perfect blend of all things we love about K-Dramas. The stellar cast is definitely one to look forward to as well.  

5. “Island”

Cast: Kim NamGil, Lee DaHee, ASTRO’s Cha EunWoo, and Sung Joon Summary: Monsters of Jeju Island have been looking for opportunities to get rid of the human world for a long time and have started to target a chaebol heiress who arrived in Jeju Island. Reasons to watch: This drama boasts of an elite cast of actors who are all known for their incredible acting skills and versatility. The fantasy plotline and influences borrowed from Korean folktales will be interesting for international viewers as well.  

6. “Money Heist”

Cast: Yoo JiTae, Jeon JongSeo, Park HaeSoo Summary: A mysterious man called “The Professor” recruits a group of 8 people to carry out an ambitious heist.  Reasons to watch: The Korean adaptation of the hugely popular Spanish crime drama of the same name is highly anticipated among fans of K-Dramas.
